Dr. Daniel Guevara

I was born and raised in El Paso, TX. I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian when I was thirteen and got my first dog, Zorro, a now 16 year old Shih-tzu. I started as a veterinary technician when I was 17 and for 7 years, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of animals like horses, sheep, llamas, pigs, birds and reptiles.

I attended undergraduate at University of Texas at El Paso and graduated with a Bachelors in Biomedical Science. I then attended Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine, then finished vet school at Iowa State University. While at school, I gained an appreciation for the connection between animal, human and environmental health and strive to build a better relationship between them.

My career interests are soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, nutrition, disease research, and equine medicine. Professional goals include more medical publications and eventually hospital ownership.

In my free time I like to travel, visit friends, family back home, spend time exploring Austin, live music and staying active with my adopted black lab Zoey.
